 Functions of Press Digest/Press Summary Cutting Section

An Information Officer was to be deputed to have a bird eye on all the national/local newspapers and prepare a Press Summary for unward transmission to the Government high-ups. All the important events and the editorial pages were to be summarized in a consolidated form for the purpose. Besides a complete set of Newspaper is provided to the cutting Section. The Information Officer and other supporting staff see and check the public complaints/demands and reaction of the people and then ask the cutting section to cut and paste it on a paper to sent it to the quarter concerned for information, necessary action and clarification which on receipt are released to the press.
